Antique Silver Locket with Necklace

An exquisite antique silver locket featuring a centrally engraved oval plaque with a delicate floral bouquet motif. The tiered bezel is finished with intricate millegrain detailing and a series of polished spherical accents, all suspended from a decorative floral-embossed link chain in a high-polish silver finish. The hallmarks indicate Birmingham assay office, and probably made by Blankensee & Levetus between 1870 and 1890. As the chain doesn't have any hallmarks, it is not sure where it originates from. This two piece cannot be separated. The locket measures 5cm from top of the pendant loop to the bottom. The chain measures 45cm approx. 1.5cm wide, and 0.6cm thick.
